ABOUT Dr. Manohar Dole
Dr. Manohar Dole borned on 22 Nov. 1928 in Solapur. He completed primary education at Chhabildas Boys High School , Dadar (Mumbai) & completed secondary education at New English School, Raman bag, Pune. Higher secondary education completed at Benien Smith High School , Belgaon (Karnatak State). Dr. Manohar Dole passed Medical education from Tilak Ayurved Mahavidyalaya, Pune. In memory of Mr. Mohan Thuse, a charitable eye hospital came in reality on 26/12/1982 .
With tremendous hard work and dedication of Dr. Manohar Dole and his group of friends, the hospital has overcome all types of obstacles, problems and difficulties and got a good faith in eye patients surrounding eight talukas of the area in a periphery of 75 km having population of 30 lacks in three Districts i.e. Pune, Nagar, Thane. As Dr. Manohar Dole Said "The huge and ambitious project came into being with rigorous efforts, hard work, a lot of patience and an eagerness to do something for the economically weaker section of the society and Vanvasi in remote area. Even after the long journey of 40 years, there are still more dreams, still many things that can be done with improved and modified vision”.

Dr Manohar Dole Started a Hostel for the Vanvasi Students in 1992 at Nimdari, in tribal area. He is Founder of Mohan Thuse Netra Rugnalaya and Research Institute, Narayangaon (Pune).

Achievement
The world bank has chosen this hospital for non recurring grant as well as the District Blindness Control Society (Pune, Maharashtra) has granted permission to the hospital.
The donors can avail benefits under IT Sec.80 G(50%) & Sec.35 A/C (100%) Income Tax exemption facility.
The Hospital is registered under foreign contribution Regulation Act. (F.C.R.A. NO.083930345).
We have conducted a pilot research project for Cataract Detection Survay in 8 villages. The sponsorer was Rock Feller Foundation, America & Organize by Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TISS) Social Science, Mumbai.
